The Wellingborough Youth Project group is looking for volunteers aged between 18 and 80 to act as positive adult influences in the lives of young people.
Organiser Jonny Whitmore said: "We are looking for people to work at Wellingborough Youth Cafe to support and encourage young people.

"Volunteers can get involved with young people in a number of ways.

"It may be as simple as playing a game of pool, being someone they can talk to or being a friendly face.

"No experience of youth work is necessary. All we ask is that you see the best in young people and have a willingness to see them develop and grow. "Volunteers do not have to be Christian, but we ask that they are in sympathy with the projects Christian principles."

Volunteers will be asked to attend an informal interview, obtain an up-to-date criminal records bureau check and provide two references.

For further information contact Jonny Whitmore at The Old Tannery, 50 Angel Lane, Wellingborough.
