Firework pushed through door of Wellingborough home

A lit firework was put through the letterbox of a home in Wellingborough.

No-one was injured in the incident, which took place between 8.25pm and 8.35pm on Saturday at a property in Swinburne Road in the town.

The door and letterbox were damaged in the incident.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire police on 08453 700700 - alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

I agree ray,i think as i have stated in another article that i think the age for buying fireworks should be raised to around 25, then this way the people who would be buying them will be more likely to be familys for home displays and not kids to let off in the streets, and even possibly only certain retail outlets being allowed to sell them instead of almost any corner shop were in my mind is were these kids get them from.

i think i may of changed my mind from my last comment,my daughters got together and spent nearly £50 on two display boxes of fireworks and to say the least they was rubbish few sparks some nice colours all lasting about 5 seconds each so if this is how its going to be dont waste your money go to a proper display and ban the sale of fireworks
