Young sailors honed their skills and raced one another on Cransley Reservoir yesterday.
The youngsters enjoyed a morning of training and afternoon of competition as part of a series of events.

The day was the final one of the Anglian Water Series, five one-day events held in the county over the past six months.

Did you take part in the event? Or do you have pictures from the day? We'd love to receive them. Click here to send them in.

Russell Brayshaw, of the Northamptonshire Schools Sailing and Canoeing Association, said: "The Anglian Water Series is designed to be a first step into racing for juniors away from their home club.

"We have 20 people doing their first races today.

"They are going out there on their own, building up their sense of tactics and working out where the wind's coming from.

"Then they are coming ashore and making new friends."

Luke Berry, 11, of Skeffington Close, Geddington, said: "I've been sailing for about six months. It's fun."
