Youngsters enjoying their Easter holidays have been trying their hand at cheerleading.
Kettering Council teamed up with Kettering Cheerleading Academy to provide half-term activities for young people.

Council sports coach David Staff said: "We've been trying to run different activities for children over half-term and working with clubs around the town.

"The cheerleading has proved popular and the girls have been having a good time.

"We have people from across the borough taking part and also have other activities such as table tennis going on."

More than 30 girls took part in the event at Montagu School in Kettering on Tuesday.

Shamika Ford, 12, said: "I've never done cheerleading before but I've really enjoyed it.

"I would really love to do it again."
