A couple who lost three premature babies have held a second fundraising day in their memory.
Micky and Charlene Braines held a six-a-side football tournament and family fun day in Finedon on Sunday.

The event also included a barbecue, a bouncy castle, children's fancy dress and live singing.

The couple hope to raise more than £4,000 through their Tiny Toes appeal for the special care baby unit at Kettering General Hospital, which helped care for their premature babies Jordan Lee, born in 1999, Ellis Aaron, born in 2000, and Kira, born last April. Mr Braines, 33, of Eastfield Crescent, Finedon, said: "Last year we raised more than £3,000 and this year our target is to raise £4,000. Our babies were all looked after at the special care baby unit and the work the staff do there is fantastic.

"We had the football tournament, children getting their faces painted
and people enjoyed listening to the music. There are lots of good causes to raise money for but there's not many better than helping babies to survive."

The event took place at Kennedy's Bar and has so far raised £3,000. The Braines have also set up a website so other parents with premature babies can discuss their experiences at www.freewebs.com/tiny-toes-appeal. The couple and their three-year-old son Lewis will also be holding a Halloween party at the Dolben Arms in October.
