Carnival capers

The crowds turned out for last weekend's Wollaston Carnival.
Evening Telegraph photographer Alan Castle was there to capture the many colourful sights on show.

Steward Peter Smethurst, 57, of Manchester Road, helped with stewarding for the parade. He said: "There was a variety of floats and a lot of children involved and we have even got some dogs pulling carts, which I have never seen before."
