Young celebrates convincing victory

Eddie Young was in fine form in the seniors winter Stableford at Priors Hall as he ran out a convincing winner on the back of an 11-hole tally of 32 points.

Five points back in second position was Brian Hales who finished two points ahead of William Crossan and John Muir.

Michael Cradock, John Lappin, Darren Buchan and Dominic Savage made the most of their extra shots as they won the March Texas Scramble on net 59.2.

Although Marc Asher, Ronnie McIlwain, Jimmy Lamond and Paul Briggs carded the best gross round, with just two shots to subtract from their score of 62 they had to settle for second place.

Third prize went to Jerry Millar, Paul Freeman, Thomas Smith and Keith Lawman (net 60.7) on countback from two other teams.
