Steelmen lose points as Farsley Celtic are removed from league

Corby Town have three points removed from their current tally in the Blue Square North after Farsley Celtic's removal from the league was confirmed.

Farsley were expelled from the league for failing to fulfil three fixtures due to the financial issues that have seen the Yorkshire club collapse with around 750,000 of debts.

Their record has been expunged, meaning the Steelmen's 2-0 win at Farsley earlier in the campaign is removed from their results.

They will also now have no game on the final day of the season.

The Steelmen's play-off rivals are also affected with Hinckley, Eastwood, Stalybridge and Ilkeston also all losing three points.

Alfreton and Northwich will lose six but Droylsden and Telford lose none and the Steelmen's weekend opponents Workington lose just one, moving them above Corby in the table.
