Second defeat drops Weldon down to third

Long-term leaders Weldon United were knocked off the top of the Premier Division after suffering their second defeat of the season.

Roade returned from a two-week break to beat them 2-1 at Connelly Way with goals from Andrew Priest and Jack Diamond.

Kislingbury now head the pack with Brixworth second – although neither side could completely capitalise as both were held to draws at home.

The new pacesetters tied 1-1 with Harpole while another last-minute equaliser by Harborough denied All Saints victory when they led 3-2.

Fourth-placed Medbourne needed a late goal to see off Whitefield

Norpol.

Having led 2-0 at half-time, Medbourne were pegged back but a stoppage-time strike sealed the 3-2 win.

Milton and Queen Eleanor recorded morale-boosting wins over Heyford (2-0) and Corby Pegasus (6-2) respectively.

Andrew Cox opened the scoring for Corby Khalsa as they recorded a comfortable 4-1 win over Moulton.
