Poppies vs Oxford match report

Gareth Seddon struck a stoppage time equaliser as Kettering Town maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

The Poppies just edged an even first half, and their best chance came on

37 minutes when Iyseden Christie headed over the bar from seven yards out while completely unmarked.

Oxford responded before break and Nicky Eaden was forced to ckear Barry Quinn's header off the line.

Quinn deflected Christie's goalbound shot away for corner early in second half, but it was Oxford who took the lead in controversial circumstances with 19 minutes to go.

Jamie Guy got free in the area and shot at goal. Lee Harper made a good save and it rebounded to Yemi Obubade, who looked offside at the time of the shot, but he made no mistake by firing home,

The Poppies players were furious, but they responded in nick of time when Seddon tapped home from close range after Exodus Geohaghon had hit inside inside of the post from a Westcarr free kick.
