About time! Last time F1 was at Donington the famous Ayton Senna won a brilliant race. Sure the facilities are not up to scratch but the propsed investment funds will see the track be brought up to world class standards and the knock on effects for local businesses, the airport, etc will be fantastic. Don't forget a new train station at Jct 24 is due to be completed by Dec 2008 so all we have to hope is that the road to Donington via EM Airport becomes a dual carriageway!!!!

Donny supporter, Nottingham

excellent news for the British Gp and cash and jobs to be had as well

Harold, on the racetrack

AWESOME

Ant, work

i never thought this would happen cos the circuit & facilities are so bad for car racing they probably need a total rebuild, having said that i am absolutely delighted & look forward to being stuck in the traffic at J24 for many hours

Louise Hammeltown, Sawley

oooh yey another reason not to go there!

me, here

Bring it on, something good coming to Nottinghamshire (its not Leicestershire or Derbyshire is it?) - Its next to Nottingham airport, must be in Nottinghamshire. FANTASTIC

Borris, Himmalton

i understand this will involve a 100m investment in the circuits facilities and can only be good news for the area. lets make it the best GP on the calender.
