National final awaits

Northamptonshire are through to the final of the national over-60s men's competition after beating Cumbria 128-93 in the semi-final at South Leeds.

The Cumbrians included John Bell, who is in charge of England's bowls team for this year's Commonwealth Games, in their line-up.

But the County side, led by manager John Haines, produced a superb display to reach the final for the second year running.

Rink three: M Sharpe 22, A Little 14.
