More arrests made following football fan clash

MORE arrests have been made following football violence after Kettering Town's promotion on Saturday.

Two men were arrested and bailed after an incident at the Shire Horse pub on Newland Street, Kettering, bringing the total number of arrests up to 13.

The men - aged 40 and 29 and both from Kettering - have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Violence flared in Britannia Road prior to the Blue Square North fixture between the Poppies and Telford at about 2.15pm and disorder also broke out at the Shire Horse pub in Newland Street at 4.15pm.

CCTV footage will be examined by police, who say further arrests are likely.
