Harry's game has a national attraction
Overstone Park's Harry Woan has earned a call-up to the England Under-16 side after impressing the national selectors for the Midland Region against England Boys at Greetham Valley.
Competing in the third singles match in very cold conditions, the 14-year-old was too hot for Matthew Fitzpatrick, from Hallamshire, as he carded two birdies and no bogeys in a 2&1 victory.
With only two other Midlands players being successful in a 6-3 England win, Woan has now been picked to play for the England Boys against the Northern Regions next month.
The Overstone lad, who has trained with the England Regional Coaching Squad, has seen his handicap cut to just two.
