Cobblers start at the seaside

Northampton Town will kick-off the new season nPower League Two on the English Riviera after they were handed a trip to Torquay United on the opening day of the campaign on August 7.

Their first home game is against Accrington Stanley seven days later.

Boxing Day sees Ian Sampson's men at home to Burton Albion, followed by a trip to Hereford two days later before they start the New Year at Crewe.

They end at Morecambe on May 7, which Cobblers fans will be hoping will see them celebrating a successful promotion challenge.

The home derbies with new boys Oxford United and Stevenage are on January 22 and April 30 respectively while the away dates are October 23 at the Us and December 11 at Borough.

In the Championship, Leicester City start off in London with a trip to Crystal Palace. The Foxes' opening home game is against Middlesbrough on August 14 while they end at home to Ipswich on May 8.
