Best-ever season for duo continues in style

Ian Donaldson and Chris Warliker are having possibly their best season in the Wellingborough League for years – if not all-time.

Both completed trebles during Thrapston's 7-3 win over Wellingborough WMC A in the Apec Braking Division One.

Warliker's came fairly comfortably, his highlight being an 11-7, 11-0, 11-3 win over a shell-shocked Alan Woolston.

But Donaldson started slowly, was taken to five by Woolston and

surprisingly by the struggling Roger Fleming before finishing with an easy win over Stephen Woolston.

Thrapston's Geoff Atkinson opened with an easy win over Fleming but was in turn well beaten by the Woolstons.

They also confirmed their excellent doubles reputation with an 11-9, 3-11, 1-11, 11-9, 13-11 verdict over Donaldson and Warliker.
