Corby Town boss Graham Drury today hailed the part new goalkeeper Mark Osborn has played in his team's upturn in fortunes.
The former Kettering Town man has kept clean sheets in his last two games – both of which have resulted in wins.

As a result, the Steelmen have climbed to fifth in the Southern League Premier Division and could go third this weekend if they can make it three in a row at fourth-placed Swindon Supermarine.

"I always knew he would be a good signing for me," said Drury.

"Some people were doubting it before. But I know Ozzy's not a pre-season man. Now the serious stuff has started he has done very well."

Osborn's form has allowed the new-look Corby defence to become more solid.

And they will need to be on top form tomorrow against a Supermarine side that hit five against Banbury United last time out.

"They're flying at the moment and they look a good side," Drury added.

"But we're playing well ourselves and we've got a team that can respond to different situations.

"When we need to keep it tight and defend we can do that. When the chance is there to attack we take it.

"The difference this year is that we're not just relying on Steve Diggin's goals.

"We can score from all over the park and that's a big thing.

"It's nice to see us up in the top five instead of in the bottom five. It's a good boost for everyone at the club.

"Getting into the top three would be good, too. But there's no rush at this stage of proceedings and sometimes you're better off just biding your time on the edge of things."
