Dinara Safina knocked off Serena Williams on Friday at the German Open bringing Serena’s 17-match winning streak to an end. Serena talks about the loss on her website, and says it’s better to lose at the German Open than at Roland Garros. Interview: Jason Whitlock

Love him, (or) hate him, Jason Whitlock of The Kansas City Star and FoxSports.com creates dialogue with his columns. I find Jason on the wrong-side of the fence on subjects such as Don Imus, The Jena Six, and Hip-Hop’s ruining of the black community, but his opinions cause others to exchange ideas, something that can’t be said for the majority of sportswriters.

Dallas Cowboys’ Greg Ellis: Leave Roy Williams Alone

Dallas Cowboys’ safety Roy Williams can still lay some hat, but his already questionable coverage skills have declined as he’s gotten older and slower. A lot of Cowboys fans want him traded if not cut, and some are resorting to treating Roy’s jersey the way receivers and tight ends treat him on the field.
