Capel stays in confident mood

Northamptonshire Steelbacks coach David Capel believes his team is now hitting its stride after a slow start.
Capel's men take on Ireland at the County Ground today in the Friends
Provident Trophy just 24 hours after a six-wicket defeat in the same competition by Nottinghamshire Outlaws.
Both games come on the back of a four-day LV County Championship match against Worcestershire, meaning Northants have been in action for six successive days.
But despite the workload, Capel was confident his side would be on their game against the Irish as they looked to bounce back from the Outlaws defeat.
"We're at home and I'm very confident we will get the right result," he said.
"We are a bit disappointed with how the Nottinghamshire game went but I am philosophical enough to know that we didn't do everything badly.
"I thought we bowled and fielded well.
We just got the wrong end of the game in that it was a good toss to win.
"That said, I thought Nottinghamshire bowled very too. It was a good effort on their part and we were a few runs short because they restricted us to the total we eventually got."
Northants slumped to 64-5 at one stage against the Outlaws before a partnership of 106 between Stephen Peters and Lance Klusener pulled them up to 189-7.
Good bowling made Nottinghamshire sweat in the run chase before they got home by six wickets with two overs to spare.
"We would probably would have liked to have got a few more but again good death bowling by Notts did for us," said Capel.
"But we won't dwell on that because we have Ireland now and I'm looking
forward to the game.
"The matches are coming thick and fast and to have the four-day Championship game followed by two successive one-day games is quite a heavy programme."
