End of the road for Silverstone The jewel in the county's sporting crown has been lost with the announcement that Silverstone will no longer be hosting the British Grand Prix.

Silverstone loses grand prix Northamptonshire will no longer host the British Grand Prix from 2010.

Will Silverstone ever host a grand prix again? Over the main entrance to Silverstone there is a sign that reads: Home of British Motor Racing.
