Rothwell Town boss Rob Dunion wants his side to turn up for the start of their game at Stourport Swifts tonight.
The Bones face another critical game at the bottom of BGB Southern League Division One Midlands after suffering a seventh defeat in eight against Bedworth United at the weekend.

And that was largely down to conceding twice in the first 10 minutes – leaving them with a mountain to climb almost before they'd even got out of the dressing- room.

"We have to be in the game from the first whistle and then we need to be able to defend properly," said Dunion.

"However the main issue, as ever, is taking our chances which is something we're not doing.

"It's all very well creating opportunities but it counts for nothing if you don't take them and 24 league goals all season tells its own story."

Fortunately for Rothwell, none of the three sides below them – Barton Rovers, Woodford United and Malvern Town – can put together any sort of run either so the Bones are still six points clear of the relegation zone.

But Dunion knows his side cannot keep relying on others continuing to slip up to keep their heads above water.

And they could do worse than take a lead from their hosts tonight.

Before losing to Chesham United at the weekend, Stourport had put together a six-match unbeaten run that lifted them from the heart of the relegation battle to a healthy 12 points clear of the bottom two.

"At least we are the ones with the six-point gap in our favour – we wouldn't want to be trying to make up six points at this stage," said Dunion.

"But we need to pick up two or three more results before the end of the
season."

The Bones are helped tonight by the returns of Robbie Maddox, Kevin Byrne and Fazel Koriya which Dunion says will "make a huge difference" as they desperately search for a victory.

Rothwell from: Malong, Hackett, White, Flannigan, Glass, F Koriya, Maddox, Medine, Boyle-Chong, Marlow, Byrne, Goodall, Wiltshire, Lorimer, Dorrill.
