A young woman was robbed of her handbag and mobile phone as she walked in a busy Northampton street last night.
The woman was apprached by three boys in Wellingborough Road at about 6.30pm, who took her bag and ran off towards the town centre.

The three boys were aged between 16 and 18 years old.

One was white, between 16 and 18, 5ft 10ins tall wearing a cap and a hooded top.

The second was black, wearing a coat, jeans and noticably smart shoes.

The third was wearing a coat, possibly a green Parka-style coat with a fur lining and jeans.

The incident happened at the junction of Wellingborough Road and St Edmunds Street and police say this area would have been very busy at the time.

Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call police in Northampton on 08453 700700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
