Youths attacked for mobile phones

A 16-year-old had his nose possibly broken during a late-night attack by a group of men.

The boy was walking along Pendred Road in Wellingborough with another 16-year-old boy at about 2.30am yesterday when four older men approached them.

The men pulled up in a dark coloured car and demanded money from the two teenagers.

Initially the boys refused to hand anything over.

One of the men attacked one teen, until both handed over their mobile phones.

A police spokesman said the boy suffered a possible broken nose during the attack.

The only description the boys have given of the offenders is that they were black.
