Sign up to join wags and wellies walk

GET out your wellington boots and get your four-legged friend in shape for this year’s Wags and Wellies Walk.

The event, to raise funds for Lakelands Hospice, in Butland Road, Corby, is taking place on Sunday, March 11.

Nikki Hill, the hospice’s community fundraiser, said: “Our wags and wellies event proved to be really popular last year, so we are once again inviting the community to join us in this scenic fundraising dog walk. Last year our four-legged friends gained sponsorship from friends and families and a fun day was had by all.

“Although the event is aimed at dogs and their owners, the route is scenic enough to satisfy everyone, and we really would encourage people to come along, take part and support their local hospice.”

The three-and-a-half-mile walk will start from the Bluebell Inn, Gretton, and registration will be from 10.30am, with the trek starting at 11am. The cost of taking part is £3 for adults and £2 for children, including soup and a roll which will be supplied by the pub.

Sponsorship forms are available at www.lakelandshospice.org.uk or by contacting the hospice on 01536 747755.
