Robbery at store in Wellingborough
Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery, which occurred in the early hours of this morning at about 4.30am at the Co-op store in Kingsway, Wellingborough.
Three masked men, believed to be armed with a screwdriver, entered the store and stole a quantity of cash, scratch cards and cigarettes.
There was a male and a female employee within the store at the time.
A minor altercation occurred between the male employee and one of the offenders, however the employee was not seriously injured.
Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 - alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
