Robbery at bookmakers in Thrapston
Police in Thrapston are appealing for information after a robbery at a bookmaker's shop.
The incident took place at about 9.30pm on Wednesday 12 February at Coral's in the High Street.
Three masked men entered the premises armed with a hammer and a knife and forced a member of staff to hand over cash. The staff member, a man in his 60s, was not seriously hurt but was left shaken.
Afterwards the three offenders got into a blue Ford Escort, which was later found in a ditch near Woodford.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them as soon as possible.
Detective Inspector Andy Nichols said: "This is one of a number of recent incidents at Coral's premises across the north of the county.
"At this moment we are examining the incidents to see whether there are any links between them.
"The investigation into this latest robbery is continuing and we will work hard to bring the offenders to justice.
"I would like to urge anyone with any information or who saw anything at all during the incident to contact us."
Anyone with any information should contact Northamptonshire Police on 08453 700700 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
