Touring the country by road, rail, air and sea, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will travel widely across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Queen will visit Corby during a tour of the east midlands on Wednesday and Thursday, June 13 and 14.

A statement on the Royal Family’s website said: “These visits will give Her Majesty the opportunity to express her thanks to people throughout the country for their continued support and loyalty.”

@9 What a totally crass inept patronising comment. You obviously do not have any intelligence, manners or common sense. I would suggest you crawl back under the stone you crawled from with all the other low life scum

My comment is not entirely related. But I want to use this to thank Mrs Gray and the corby old village committee for my gift to mark the diamond jubilee. As when I was born in 1977,my family lived in the village. I was born close to the silver jubilee to mark the occasion my family were given a silver crown and the commemoritive coin to mark the 25th anniversary of the queens accession to the throne.

'larkins'...It won't be long before your mail is delivered by way of a van with 'Deutchpost' emblazoned along it's side. I'ts semi-literate £6 an hour driver having no sypmpathy to your grass or post with half of it undoubtedly chucked in some skip so heshe can meet their impossible targets. In my humble, we still, just about have the best post system in the world, nowhere else can you get a letter delivered to the other side of the country Usually next day for the cost of a stamp. I also hope you never become one of the 'scrounging ' benefit claimants you suggest all such needy are. As for 'The Queen'; well, she aint my queen and I am NOT her subject but in a free world she can go where the hell she likes......Just wish I wan't paying for her and her dysfunctional family . maybe she could provide her own buffet.....'Mams been to Iceland' .

@Corby Chick "If only the Queen could see through their treachourous contemptible behaviour." She does. All the royals do. They're not stupid. The same person who told Paul Burrell about the "dark forces" has seen it all in 60 years. Unfortunately she can't send them to the Tower.

Good that the old Monarch is coming to Corby. Let all the dissenters go live in Siberia,oh and take Camilla and Charles along on a one way ticket.

'postie supporter' .........You've probably delivered more in benefit cheques to the UK's unemployed scrounging cheats than what the Queens 'mega sums'. How much has she bough into this country in tourism? I'm not a blinkered royalist either. By the way, keep off my grass and try to deliver my mail at a decent hour, not when you can be bothered to get out of your van, the same van with HM crest on.

The Council have been very quiet these days, I'm sure you'll see the usual suspects taking all the glory on the day. A lot of good stuff thats come to Corby has been down to CBC members for backing the projects and yes the your man has been very inspirational.

'the great and the good' now left 'managing' and 'leading' Corby Borough Council are rotten to the core, heaven help us if they are tasked with holding any sort of civic reception, they will be looked upon as court jesters and fools. If only the Queen could see through their treachourous contemptible behaviour and send them to the tower! i'm delighted that the Queen has chosen to visit Corby, let us not forget the reasons why: Corby East Midlands Pool, The Corby Cube, Corby Enterprise Centre, Corby Business Academy, Corby Train Station, Corby Tresham College: facilities that we would not have and be proud of if a certain person hadn't taken risks that have put Corby on the map!!!

Long may Her Majesty reign and enjoy good health. She has given so much to the country for the past 60 years.

For the past sixty years, we have been reigned over by the greatest monarch the world has ever seen. And she is coming to Corby. Let us hope that the Great and the Good from Corby Borough Council keep their distance. and that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh meet some real people.
