Our MPs give their views on new coalition
North Northamptonshire's Conservative MPs have given their uniform approval to the coalition Government which will see their party run the country with the Liberal Democrats.
Peter Bone, Louise Bagshawe and Philip Hollobone all said they were confident the first inter-party alliance since 1945 would work long-term and provide a strong and stable Government capable of dealing with the economic crisis.

Mr Bone and Mrs Bagshawe were both emphatically behind the pact, while Mr Hollobone adopted a more cautious tone.
Wellingborough MP Mr Bone said: "It is good news for the country. We are going to have a strong Government to deal with the economic crisis.
"We will get the bulk of our manifesto into law and I think that is what the country voted for.
"The coalition should be solid. A considerable amount of work has gone into agreeing on different aspects of policy.
"David Cameron has set the next General Election date as May 7 2015, so we have got a five-year Government.
"It gives the Labour party a chance to think again about what it did wrong and provide an effective opposition, which we need."
Corby and East Northants MP Ms Bagshawe said: "I'm very excited and happy. I think it is a historic moment in British politics.
"The public want the major parties to work together and we have got a lot in common with the Liberal Democrats.
"Everyone has got to sacrifice a bit but that is the nature of a coalition. We now have a strong and secure Government which can't be toppled by a couple of rebels.
"The business of the Government is going to be difficult. Deficit reduction is a really big issue and was the biggest issue on the doorsteps bar none.
"I really do think it will last. I think there is a lot of good will between the parties and I think the country will be willing us to succeed."
Kettering MP Mr Hollobone said: "They are very interesting developments. We have got to make this work for the country because of the perilous economic circumstances.
"We need a strong and stable Government for the next five years and I very much hope this novel way of doing things will work.
"I would have preferred an outright majority but that is not what the voters wanted. This is the second best option and I hope it lasts the course."
