Man is assaulted by masked gang

A MAN has been assaulted by a masked gang in Wellingborough.

The incident happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Saturday, February 4.

The victim was walking along Nest Farm Crescent, near the skate park, when a group of seven men approached him and asked whether he had a mobile phone.

When he said he didn’t, he was grabbed by the arm, pushed to the ground and punched and kicked. The offenders are described as black men and they wore hoods and scarves over their faces.

Witnesses should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
