The benefice youth group (HIPOH) was challenged to raise money for charity after studying the Parable of the Talents.
Past member Chris Dommett, 17, and James Crawford 15, decided on a sponsored sleep deprivation. James managed about 40 hours and Chris managed 50 hours. Between them they raised 405 for Water Aid.
Another member is in the process of doing a sponsored silence and the challenge will be repeated in the New Year. The group is for young people in secondary school

LITTLE Harrowden Indoor Bowls Club celebrates its 20 years anniversary, having been formed in 1987 to encourage village folk to get together in some sporting activity.
It has since gone from strength to strength, meeting in Little Harrowden Village Hall, on Mondays from 2pm to 4pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm to 10pm.
Visitors are welcome to come along and if they wish to have a try. All the equipment is in the hall all that is needed is a pair of flat soled shoes or sandals.
The fee for each session is I.50 and tuition will be given if required, and a warm welcome is assured by existing members. For more information call the secretary Pauline Phillpot on 01933 677350.
WHILE we are waiting for our potential pocket park at Little Harrowden to become a reality, there are several things that need to happen.
We need to have a plan for our park and to do this we need your input.
With this in mind Questionnaires are being prepared for all homes in the village, please spare the time to answer these when they arrive and we will arrange to collect them.
It will be your chance to contribute to the early stages of the potential pocket park.
We would also like to create a register of interest from among the parishioners.
We have already started this, so if you have any offers of practical help or special skills to bring, or if you are just wanting to come along and get involved in a working party, or litter pick, from time to time, please contact 01933 403166 to register your interest.
The more names we have to call on, the sooner things will begin to happen.
THE Salvation Army Songsters from Kettering will again be visiting Little Harrowden on Wednesday, December 5, in the village hall. The Songsters always provided the entertainment for the Harrowdens Women's Institute Christmas Party.
The institute is now suspended due to falling numbers but the concert still goes ahead. Admission and refreshments are free but there is a large raffle and prizes for this would be appreciated.
THE next meeting of Little Harrowden Village Hall Committee is to take place on Thursday, November 22, in the hall, starting at at 8pm. All welcome.
BINGO is held at Meadowlands on Mondays and Wednesday, from 2pm to 4pm. Visitors are welcome to join in the game.
