Cocaine worth £50,000 seized in raids in Wellingborough
A mother and son were among 12 suspects arrested and cocaine worth £50,000 was seized in police raids across the county.
Officers arrested the 37-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son after a raid on a house in Kettering earlier this week as part of Operation Guardian.
Several kilos of cocaine worth an estimated 50,000 were also recovered from a house in Wellingborough on Tuesday.
Crack cocaine worth between 5,000 and 8,000 was recovered in Northampton, along with various drugs paraphernalia.
In total 12 people were arrested as a result of the raids. A 42-year-old man was arrested on a failing to appear in court warrant in Sywell.
Two 23-year-old men, one 26-year-old man, one 24-year-old woman and one 16-year-old woman were arrested in Northampton for possession of drugs with intent to supply.
A 20-year-old was arrested for robbery in Northampton.
A 16-year-old male prolific offender from Daventry was arrested and a 29-year-old male, also from the town, was arrested for criminal damage.
Police also arrested a 22-year-old man wanted for an offence of grievous bodily harm after police used automatic number plate recognition to check 27,800 vehicles.
Police stopped 170 vehicles for searches and traffic offences.
