Buddhists explain secrets of coping with life

A BUDDHIST group has held an open day to introduce people to the religion, answer questions and explain ways it can help with the stresses of life.

The Kettering-based Kagyu Same Dzong held the event at the Corn Market Hall in the town on Saturday.

The Venerable Gelong Karma Jiga was on hand at the event to talk to people about Tibetan Buddhism and ways in which it can help them.

He said: “We are trying to make people more aware of the group in Kettering and explain how, through mediation, the group can help with things like stress.”

The group meets every Monday at The Friends Meeting House, Northall Street, Kettering, from 7pm to 9pm.

Group member Ernie Parsons said: “I’m happy with the amount of people we have had down to the open day and we are always happy to hear from people.”
