Another award for star Faryl
Singer Faryl Smith was honoured on Sunday night at The Variety Club's 57th Annual Showbiz Awards.
The 14-year-old Kettering singer joined the likes of Kevin Spacey, Spandau Ballet and Pixie Lott, where she was presented with the Classical Award at the ceremony at Park Lane's Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The latest accolade comes ahead of the release of her second album and her return to Twickenham this weekend where she will sing ahead of England's rugby game against New Zealand.
Faryl's father, Tony Smith, said: "It was a wonderful night and Faryl really enjoyed it.
"She did a duet with The Soldiers and received a standing ovation which has never happened before, it was fantastic."
Vocal group The Soldiers are a trio of serving British Army soldiers.
Their debut single, Coming Home, was released last month and they joined Faryl for a performance of The Prayer, a song from her new album which is out later this month.
The Variety Club Showbiz Awards is one of the most anticipated dates on the British entertainment calendar.
Mr Smith said: "It was as unbelievable night and I know Faryl is looking forward to Children In Need and going back to Twickenham."
The Variety Club celebrates its Diamond Jubilee this year and is one of UK's oldest children's charities, dedicated to sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.
The ceremony will be broadcast on Channel Five on Sunday at 3.35pm.
On Friday, Faryl will head to Cardiff as part of this year's Children In Need appeal and on Saturday she will walk out in front of more that 80,000 people at Twickenham.
She will join fellow singer Hayley Westenra for a duet of Jerusalem before singing the national anthem before New Zealand singer Hayley sings the national anthem of her country.
