Jazz with Fairweather and friends
Jazz legends Digby Fairweather and his Half Dozen will have a special guest when they perform at The Castle, Wellingborough, on Wednesday.
For this tour the band has paired up with former lead singer with Manfred Mann and the Manfreds Paul Jones, who for the past 20 years has been the frontman for The Blues Band.
This combination is set to give audiences an evening of dynamic music which can be appreciated equally by lovers of jazz or blues.
Digby Fairweather works principally in Dixieland-mainstream surroundings, and during the course of his 25-year professional career has played with all the most eminent British exponents in that style.
He formed his first band, Dig's Half-Dozen, back in 1971 and has toured successfully since then. From 2003 to 2007 they toured and recorded with another legendary blues singer, the late George Melley.
This concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost 18.10.
Bookings can be made by calling 01933 270007 or online at www.thecastle.org.uk.
