Wellingborough Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society performs High Society at The Castle in March 2012

Performers are rehearsing several times a week ahead of a show which will be performed in Wellingborough next month.

Wellingborough Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society will perform Cole Porter’s High Society at The Castle theatre from Tuesday, March 6, to Saturday, March 10.

Mary Boyfield from the society said preparations were going well.

She said: “Rehearsals are going well, rehearsals are now twice a week up to the show, it’s been very busy.

“It’s all coming together now and it will hopefully prove to be a very popular show. It’s very funny and our leading lady Ruth Bowe, who is playing Tracy, is absolutely fantastic.

“It will be a very good evening of entertainment, there’s lots of fun and frolics.”

Tickets for the evening show on Tuesday, March 6, and for the matinee on Saturday, March 10, are £10.50. Tickets for the evening shows from Wednesday, March 7, to Saturday, March 10, are £12.50.

For tickets call The Castle’s box office on 01933 270007.
