Pupils modelled clothes with an Olympic theme at a special fashion show held at Wrenn School in Wellingborough.

The event on Friday was organised as part of the school’s calendar of events to celebrate the 2012 games.

It was attended by pupils, staff, parents and the director of commercial communications at UK Sport.

As well as showing the clothes they created for the event, youngsters also took part in a dance display.

Teacher Olivia Wilson said tickets for the event had sold so well that more had to be printed.

She said: “The show went really well.

“It ran so smoothly and the pupils were amazing, I was so impressed with how professional they were both backstage and on stage.

“Some of the judges commented on the quality of the garments.

“Students took inspiration from national flags and the Olympic sports for their designs.”

All proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards funds for the school’s design technology department.
