Pupils join children’s university
Attending the launch of the Children's University at Christopher Hatton School, Wellingborough are pupils Katherine Molloy (12), Sophia Law (12) & Abi Smith (11).
Pupils at Sir Christopher Hatton School have become members of the Northamptonshire Children’s University.
The scheme gives students an opportunity to gain awards for attending after-school activities in school.
Year 7 students were the first to be invited to enrol for membership last week, when Nikki Taylor from Northamptonshire Children’s University gave a short presentation on how to collect activity hours for bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels to achieve graduation status.
The school’s extra curricular and community manager Vanessa Forbes said: “Becoming a member ourselves will not only allow students to continue to gain their awards but also to develop new interests in a range of other activities happening in school.”
