An England footballer inspired girls at a district football tournament.

The Corby, Oundle and Thrapston School Sport Partnership organised this year’s annual football festival at Corby Business Academy for Year 5 and 6 girls. Teams from nine primaries were treated to a visit from Lincoln and England player Sophie Bradley who took part in a question and answer session with the 100 youngsters.

Tournament winners were St Patricks who edged the final 2-1 against Woodnewton School. Both teams now progress to next week’s county final.
