Crafty skills at workshop

PEOPLE are being taught the skills to make do and mend at a selection of classes and workshops.

Rowantree in Nassington runs sessions for people of all abilities which range from introducing people to a new craft right through to showing someone how to make professional soft furnishings.

It is running a professional blind-making workshop on February 11 and an absolute beginners sewing workshop on February 25.

The beginners’ sewing workshop will show people how to wind bobbins, thread a machine, sew a variety of seams and do seam finishes, hems and buttonholes. Rowantree also holds sewing, knitting and children’s craft clubs during term-time as well as other creative workshops.

It is based at 24 Station Road. Anyone who wants more information can email margaret@rowantreeworkshops.co.uk or visit the workshop’s website at www.rowantreeworkshops.co.uk.
