Corby resident woken by attempted burglar after hearing footsteps
A Corby resident disturbed an attempted burglary after hearing footsteps outside.
The incident happened yesterday (Thursdsay, August 27) at around midnight when an occupant of the home in Sulgrave Drive, Corby, heard footsteps and looked out of a window and saw someone standing on the drive.

Hide AdThey switched on a light and alerted other family members. When they went outside, the person had gone but a ground floor window was found wide open and the latches on a larger window had been moved.
It is not believed that the offender gained access to the house.
Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Sulgrave Drive at around midnight.
