Boy, 13, arrested after Corby imitation gun incident

A boy aged just 13 was arrested in Corby on Friday (March 6) after allegedly being caught with an imitation gun.

The boy was arrested by special constables at about 8pm in Corporation Street.

A police spokesman said he was found with an imitation firearm and a sock with three small pool balls inside.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.

He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police urged anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward and call them on 101.
