A jinn (or the Devil) in Dubai
In Islamic folklore, a jinn is a being that is evil that is said to have the ability to bestow its power upon humans.
A jinn is believed to be in the form of smokeless fire and is often referred to in other cultures as a Genie (such as in Aladdin's Magic Lamp).
Jinn or genies have been the subject of many stories, legends, movies and more throughout history. Jinn are mainly believed to be the Islamic version of demons or the Devil himself.
I was in Dubai in the early part of May this year where I was tutoring a four day course on Intermediate Mediumship. All was going well when one night a good friend of mine Joe asked to speak to me, he explained that a family he knew where having Paranormal problems in their home, that they had consulted with local people who where experienced in removing unwanted energies from peoples homes and work places but the problem existed still.
I met the family who where Arab, names and addresses have been changed as they may be in trouble for asking an 'Outsider' for help. I went to their home in downtown Dubai , I sat outside their home for a while in a car just sensing the energy there, it was not good , I had a heavy sense of foreboding and as I was on my own, the rest of Northamptonshire Paranormal Investigation Team was a long way away . I prepared myself by praying for the Great Spirit to cloak me in his protective light and that I was doing this to stop the persecution of the family.
I knocked on the door and a very friendly Arab gentleman opened the door and greeted me, his name was Abdul, on entering I found a very worried lady and two children a boy and a girl, the boy about eight years of age and the girl a little older about eleven years of age.
I asked them what types of problems they where experiencing when I suddenly heard a door up stairs give such a loud bang the house seemed to shake, I asked " Is anyone up stairs " to which everyone shook their head, I immediately linked with my Spirit guide' Dancing Rain' and was aware of him moving now around the house, I kept being taken to one bedroom upstairs, I was aware of in my minds eye approaching the bedroom and then everything stopped as if I should not go near the door.
I asked about the bedroom upstairs to the right, Abdul looked at his wife and she got up and left the room looking upset, " What is the problem, tell me", Abdul explained that the previous owner was known to use Black Magic and was known as a sorcerer and he had died in that bedroom . I asked if I could be excused for a moment and went into the garden, where I asked for protection from the Archangel Michael and that the Great Spirit would wrap his loving protective light around me so I could rid this young and terrified family of this problem, then with my protection in place I returned to the house and asked if I could go to this bedroom and Abdul showed me the way.
Now this was in May of this year and the temperature then was 37c but when I opened that bedroom door it was freezing, the hairs on my arms stood up, Abdul moved away from the door, just then Dancing Rain my Guide came close 'This man in Spirit is a Muslim, go to a mosque and explain about this', I backed out and the door slammed shut on it's own, I knew I was up against something very powerful and intent on staying.
The next morning after the local Mosque had finished their prayers I went in with Abdul and met an Imam or an Islamic Priest. I swallowed hard and explained to him who I was and what I did, he seemed quite interested and then I explained as to the plight of Abdul and his family. The Priest's name was Bashir who explained to me he was aware of the problems at Abdul's home and that I would need all my faith and belief to succeed". I asked Bashir if he had any Holy water and readily he filled a bottle up from a container, I thought holy water is holy water and if this sorcerer was Islamic, the water from a Mosque would have a stronger effect.
So on the Sunday night at 10pm I arrived at Abdul's home again, this time with some sage. I again said my protection prayer and asked for my Guides, Angels Inspirers and helpers from the Spirit World to be with me tonight to help me in freeing this family from this awful Spirit.
I climbed the stairs and from bedroom to bedroom I smudged the room with sage and using the water from the Mosque I sprinkled it along the doors and windows asking the Great Spirit to rid this home of all negative energies and fill the house with light and love, finally I was outside the bedroom where the sorcerer had died and once again I opened the door, a Psychic wind blew in my face blowing out a candle I was carrying as I entered the door slammed behind me, the light switch did not work I was in complete darkness.
I still had the sage smoking and began again to call out to the great Spirit to remove all evil energies from this room, when I was aware of an orange glow beginning to grow brighter and brighter in one corner of the room, slowly a figure took shape which looked like an imp, or an elf, I splashed a load of water on this apparition, there was a scream like a banshee and then I knew I had Dancing Rain my Guide next to me " Hold fast" Dancing Rain said, " Do not move" I stood still as slowly the room began to grow lighter from another corner of the room and all I can describe it as a thousand Angels singing.
It sounded beautiful, my knees stopped knocking and the light grew brighter and brighter and to my left I saw a huge figure in white with a silver helmet on his head and a huge sword in his hand, " Do not look at the Jinn" Dancing Rain said, so I just looked to the ground and prayed and as quick as it started it was all gone, I could hear the traffic outside, the sound of the sirens of an emergency vehicle screaming along somewhere. What ever it was had gone and I had seen Archangel Michael , there was so much power in that room which would have made a trillion megaton Bomb seem like a fire cracker.
I stepped outside the bedroom and there was Abdul and his family all standing there with their mouths open I said a prayer of thanks and asked that all negative energies be cleared from me and I showered myself with love and light, Abdul said " Is it done my friend" I replied "Oh yes, sleep in peace people".
On the way out I said to Abdul," Tell me what is a jinn", Abdul looked up at me frowning, "Was it that, that you were up against", I said "Yes I heard that named mentioned", Abdul grabbed my hand and said "That is the worst kind of evil Spirit, we know him as 'Shaitan'", he explained that in English he was Satan himself.
The rest of my stay there was less intense, I have spoken to Abdul a number of times and all is well in his home, plants grow again, birds sing in his garden, the house is quiet as he puts it.
