SIGN the university campaign when it hits the streets this weekend and join the hundreds who have already added their name to the cause.
There has already been a fantastic response to the campaign for a higher education campus in north Northamptonshire – led by the Evening Telegraph and backed by all four local authorities in the area.

Hundreds of people have already signed our onl
ine petition, or returned the coupon to us in the post.

Many more have added their names to petitions at Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby and East Northamptonshire councils.

Today the university petition hits the streets as part of Kettering Council's consultation on the future of the town.

The event will be held in the Toller Meeting Rooms in Meeting Lane, from 10am to 2pm.

Kettering Council has put together a Community Strategy, which outlines what could be done to make Kettering a better place to live, work or visit.

People are invited to visit the Toller Meeting Rooms to look at the key themes and leave their comments and ideas, as well as signing the university petition.

The Government has plans for 20 new universities in the country and education officials and county leaders want one of them to be located in the north of the county.
