Water crisis: Pets could be affected

Safewings conservationist Andrew Meads has warned the water crisis could affect pets.
Mr Meads, who runs the sanctuary from Isham said: "In the interest of safety it is advisable also to boil and let cool ALL pets drinking water as this protozoa ( micro organism ) can infect both mammals and birds causing symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting. weight loss and loss of appetite.

"Unfortunately there is no specific treatment so preventative measures are the best precaution."
