Two people injured in smash on A6 near Rushden


Kettering man and Rushden woman hurt

A man from Kettering and a 65-year-old woman from Rushden were involved in a crash on the A6 yesterday (Thursday).

A silver V-reg Vauxhall Corsa, driven by the Kettering man who is in his 20s, was travelling southbound when it was in collision with a black Y-reg Honda Accord, the vehicle the Rushden woman was in.

The man was taken to hospital and detained overnight for treatment to broken ribs, cuts on his face, arms and hands.

The woman was taken in with a suspected fractured wrist and collar bone.

PC Brian Hume of the Bedfordshire Police's Roads Policing Department has appealed for witnesses who saw the collision or the lead up to it to call 01234 841212.
