Entries have already started coming in for this year's Crazy Hats walk.
This year's event will be the eighth annual walk and the theme is 'Stepping out for the million', as the charity is hoping to hit the £1m mark in its fundraising during 2010.

Wicksteed Park in Kettering is once again the venue for the popular walk
on Sunday, March 21.

Charity founder Glennis Hooper, of Wellingborough, said: "Entries are starting to come in thick and fast now.

"It's always the individual walkers who apply first.

"And it's surprising the number of people who want the number one for
the walk.

"A lot of people say they are also now beginning to start to make their hats."

Miss Hooper said she would be thrilled if this year's walk could attract more than 3,000 people.

She said: "We want people to come out in force and if their lives have been affected by breast cancer, it's one way of helping themselves to help others."

Miss Hooper said fitness instructor Miranda Menzies would once again be leading the warm-up on the day of the walk.

Mrs Menzies, of Barton Seagrave, said: "It is a fantastic event.

"This will be the fourth year I have taken part.

"I think it's great because it's a local charity and the equipment bought gets used in our community.

"The walk is always a good laugh and the children love it too because they can get creative with the hats."

The cost to enter the walk is £5 for adults, £3.50 for under-16s, and children under-11 must be accompanied by an adult.
