Rangers fans in Corby were left with heartache after their team lost in the UEFA Cup Final.
Hundreds of supporters from Corby had travelled to Manchester for the final yesterday, with high hopes their side would pull off a historic victory.

But it wasn't to be as Rangers went down 2-0 to Russian side Zenit St Petersburg.

However, despite the battered pride, fans of the Scottish club are hoping to pick themselves up.

The club could still win a quadruple of domestic trophies in Scotland and before the game fan Karen Pollock, 45, of Watson Close, Corby, said they would have a great time "win, lose or draw".

Corby Rangers Supporters' Club, has between 500 and 600 members. Many were lucky enough to get tickets for the big match at the City of Manchester Stadium. Others headed up the M6 to watch the game on big screens in fan zones.

There were riots when one of the screens in Piccadilly Gardens broke down.

In total 42 people were arrested in the city after officers came under attack.

Six people were also held after a Russian fan was stabbed inside the stadium.
