A lorry from Slovakia lorry was involved in an accident with a silver people carrier in Corby.
The HGV and the Ford Focus were both travelling around the roundabout at the junction of Phoenix Parkway and Lloyds Road yesterday at about 11am when the car, travelling on the inside of the HGV, got stuck between the lorry and the side of the roundabout.

Minor injuries were sustained by the drivers and long traffic queues formed at each entrance to the roundabout.

The road was clear by midday.

Not surprising - it happens all the time. Coming home from Corus at 7.00pm, Wednesday, a foreign lorry at the Weldon roundabout was in the lane to go towards Asda. Guess what, it suddenly realised it was in the wrong lane and moved to the inside lane narrowly missing the car already there.

Left hand drive foreign lorries have a bad bilnd spot which normal mirrors don't correct.
