Commuters from Northampton were again facing long delays today as signalling problems meant more problems on the region's railways.
Train services between Milton Keynes and Northampton were severely disrupted as a result of the signalling problems, with alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 50 minutes being experienced.

Virgin Trains were accepting London Midland passengers on some routes into London but other passengers were forced to endure long delays.

There is currently no estimate on how long it will take for normal services to resume. Some reports say travellers were being told to drive to Wellingborough and take a train to St Pancras or wait for coaches from Northampton to Milton Keyne.

More signalling problems yesterday in the Bletchley area caused even more misery for commuters trying to get to and from Northampton.
