A man woke to find three men trying to break into his Northamptonshire home.
The attempted break-in took place in Link Way, Bugbrooke, when the householder woke to find the trio attempting to gain entry to his house at around 1.10am on Wednesday.

He shouted at the offenders, who ran off towards Georges Avenue.

Another witness then saw the three people run towards Mead Way then double back on themselves and get into a black car, possibly a Mercedes people carrier.

The first of the three men was about 5ft 8ins tall and wore a hooded top pulled over his head.

The other two offeders were both about 6ft tall, of stocky build and also wore a dark coloured hooded tops pulled over their heads.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.

Witnesses can contact police on 08453 700 700 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Very interesting. Especially when you consider this story from 16th July.
